Melinda Shoaf: Melinda Shoaf is a writer, wife, mother of four grown children. Her essays have appeared in such publications as Memphis Magazine, Women's Business News of the MidSouth, The Commercial Appeal and others. Her essay, "The Designated Celebrator," was one of about 50 chosen out of 20,000 submitted to NPR's series "This I Believe." It was aired on January 8th of 2007 and can be heard by going to NPR.This I Believe.
